Political Tussle Over Employment in UP: CM Yogi Promises to Continue Distributing Appointment Letters if Re-elected for a Third Term; Akhilesh Yadav Hits Back
The debate over employment is intensifying in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the assembly elections. While the opposition is cornering the BJP government on the issue of jobs, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has distributed appointment letters to 4,543 newly selected sub-inspectors and platoon commanders for the UP Police. In doing so, the Chief Minister launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP). He remarked that, in the past, recruitment was synonymous with the “Saifai syndicate,” but his government has dismantled that syndicate. Furthermore, CM Yogi asserted that his administration would continue to distribute appointment letters if it secures a third consecutive term. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav has claimed that this time, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will face a permanent defeat in Uttar Pradesh.
