Pollution Sparks Concern: GRAP-3 Restrictions Implemented in Delhi-NCR; Impact Felt from Schools to Offices
Desk: The air in Delhi-NCR has once again turned toxic. In view of the rising pollution levels, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has implemented GRAP-3 restrictions across the Delhi-NCR region. Consequently, stricter measures have been imposed on activities ranging from construction work to vehicular movement. Various restrictions will now be in effect across Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad. Furthermore, new guidelines have been issued for institutions including schools, as well as government and private offices. In short, preparations are underway to take stringent action to combat pollution. Meanwhile, a ‘blame game’ has erupted among political parties regarding the situation: the BJP is targeting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the crisis in Punjab, while the Congress is leveling accusations against both the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP.
