Rahul Gandhi and BJP hold press conferences outside Parliament; political temperature rises

On Wednesday, there was a massive uproar in Parliament over Rahul Gandhi’s statement. He accused Amit Shah of ordering the police to open fire on students. Following the commotion inside the House, Rahul Gandhi stepped out and held a press conference around 6 PM, once again targeting the central government. He stated that students were beaten within 500 meters of Parliament and fired upon with pellet guns, resulting in one student losing his eyesight; he also alleged that spiked batons were used against them. The BJP also responded to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks; BJP MP Sambit Patra dismissed his statement as false and termed his allegations baseless.
