Raid on a Fake *Khoya* (Milk Solids) Factory in Hapur, UP; 16 Quintals of Adulterated *Khoya* Seized
Ahead of Diwali and Bhai Dooj, the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) has taken major action against those involved in food adulteration. In Lalpur Saulana village of Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, an FSDA team—supported by the police—conducted a raid and seized approximately 16 quintals of adulterated *khoya* (milk solids). During the operation, led by Assistant Food Commissioner Chandrashekhar Mishra, samples of the *khoya* were collected from the premises belonging to Aqil (son of Khalil), and the entire stock—valued at approximately ₹3.20 lakh—was destroyed. According to reports, the adulterated *khoya* was intended to be sold in the market to meet the high demand for sweets during the festive season.
