Desk: Former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar, who was serving a life sentence in connection with the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, passed away at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital. His death has once again brought to the fore the anguish of the families of the 1984 riot victims and eyewitnesses. The victims stated that they would have felt true justice had been served only if Sajjan Kumar had been sentenced to the gallows. Meanwhile, the SGPC remarked that the wounds of 1984 remain fresh to this day. On the other hand, Congress MP Pawan Khera expressed grief over Sajjan Kumar’s demise.
