Tariff plans set to alter the Russian oil landscape; will imposing a 100% tariff backfire on Trump?
The US has threatened to impose tariffs of up to 100% on five countries—including India—that purchase oil from Russia. Under the proposed bill, tariffs of 100% could be levied on India, China, Slovakia, Hungary, and Azerbaijan. The bill is being introduced with the support of both the Republican and Democratic parties and has the backing of US President Donald Trump.
