Preparations for the 149th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Ahmedabad are in their final stages. Religious rituals are underway within the temple complex, and immense enthusiasm is visible among the devotees regarding the procession. Meanwhile, upholding tradition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent special *Prasad* for Lord Jagannath. According to the temple trust, the *Prasad*—consisting of moong (green gram), mangoes, jamun (black plum), and cucumbers—sent by the Prime Minister was offered to the deity. Prime Minister Narendra Modi shares a long-standing bond with Lord Jagannath; during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he performed the traditional ‘Pahind Vidhi’ (ceremonial sweeping of the chariot path) for the Rath Yatra for 13 consecutive years. Even after becoming Prime Minister, he has maintained his connection with the traditions associated with Lord Jagannath.
