“They sold off JP; if they had their way, they’d sell off the BJP too…” — Akhilesh lashes out over the JPNIC deal.
Lucknow’s Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre (JPNIC)—once known as Akhilesh Yadav’s dream project—has now become the center of a political storm in UP. The Yogi government has approved a proposal to hand over JPNIC to the private sector on a 30-year lease. Following this decision, Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the BJP, noting that the party had done the exact same thing with the ‘Kisan Bazaar’. Akhilesh remarked that the BJP has sold off JP, and if it were up to them, they would sell off the BJP itself. He further alleged that the “big engine” in Delhi is selling off major assets, while the “small engine” in UP is selling off smaller ones.
