Proceedings for the final week of the Parliament’s Monsoon Session were scheduled to begin today; however, the proceedings of both Houses were disrupted right at the start due to massive uproar and slogan-shouting by the Opposition. Consequently, the Lok Sabha was adjourned first until 12 PM and subsequently until 2 PM. Prior to the session, protests by the BJP and the Opposition against each other were witnessed within the Parliament complex. A commotion erupted when BJP and Congress MPs came face-to-face at the main gate.
