From Rahul Gandhi to Amit Shah, a political storm of accusations is sweeping through Parliament; Mayawati makes a significant statement.

As the Monsoon Session of Parliament draws to a close, the political battle shows no signs of abating. The government and the opposition are at loggerheads within the Parliament complex. While the Congress and its allies are cornering the government over issues such as Amit Shah’s absence, alleged misappropriation of funds, and student-related concerns, the NDA is launching attacks on Rahul Gandhi and the Congress. BJP leaders have also accused the Congress of hypocrisy regarding the lathi-charge on students in Jharkhand. Meanwhile, Mayawati has accused the BJP and the Congress of colluding to divert public attention from key issues. All in all, there appears to be more political sparring and counter-attacks than actual substantive discussion within the House.
