Akhilesh’s new move regarding the Brahmin vote bank; BJP calls it ‘mere vote-bank politics’
A new political controversy has erupted in Uttar Pradesh politics over the term ‘PDA’. On the birth anniversary of Janeshwar Mishra, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav stated that the ‘P’ in PDA stands for ‘Pandit’. Following this, the BJP accused him of engaging in vote-bank politics. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya targeted Akhilesh, even going so far as to call him a “chameleon.” What, then, is the political strategy behind this new definition of PDA? Is this an attempt to woo the Brahmin vote bank?
