He stated that the UCC would be implemented across all 21 states governed by the BJP-led NDA before 2029. Shah made these remarks during a press conference in Mumbai on Sunday, noting that the UCC has already been implemented in several states and expressing confidence that it would be rolled out across all 21 NDA-ruled states by 2029. Essentially, the UCC envisages a uniform personal law—independent of religion—governing matters such as marriage, divorce, inheritance, and adoption.
