India wins Women’s Asia Cup for the eighth time, but how was Pakistan humiliated?

India has clinched the Women’s Asia Cup title. This marks the eighth time Team India has won the tournament. In the final played in Dubai, Team India defeated Sri Lanka by 72 runs. With this magnificent victory, India has asserted its dominance by securing the Women’s Asia Cup title for a record eighth time. The Indian team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. After winning the toss, India elected to bat first and scored 183 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. In response, the Sri Lankan team was bowled out for 111 runs in 20 overs. However, this victory has once again humiliated Pakistan—and publicly so. When the team won the trophy, the Indian women’s team refused to accept it from the hands of Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of both the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Naqvi had arrived at the final as the chief guest in his capacity as the ACC Chairman; he was waiting on the podium for the Indian team, but the team refused to receive the trophy from him.
