CWG 2026: Seema Kaliraman makes history, secures bronze for India in discus throw
India’s star discus thrower Seema Kaliraman delivered a stellar performance to clinch the bronze medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games. Seema secured India’s 17th medal with a best throw of 58.65 meters. Meanwhile, another Indian athlete, Nidhi Rani, finished fourth with a throw of 57.10 meters, missing out on a medal by a narrow margin. Jamaica’s Samantha Hall won the gold medal, while Canada’s Julia Tunks took the silver. President Droupadi Murmu also congratulated Seema Kaliraman on this achievement.
