Fierce Gen-Z-style farmers’ protest in Bhopal: What demands are fueling the agitation?

Farmers in Madhya Pradesh are aggrieved with the Mohan Yadav government. They launched a protest demanding 100% procurement of the *moong* (green gram) crop at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the abolition of the e-token system implemented for fertilizer distribution. A large number of farmers were marching on foot from Narmadapuram to Bhopal to lay siege to the Chief Minister’s residence, but the police stopped them before they could enter the capital. Consequently, the farmers began a sit-in protest right on the Bhopal-Narmadapuram highway. However, a surprising aspect of this agitation was that the farmers arrived to march with a distinct ‘Gen-Z’ flair.
