Voting for the Delhi University Students’ Union elections is scheduled for September 18. Campaigning concluded at 5 PM on September 16, and the results will be declared on September 19. The DUSU election holds particular significance as it is the first to take place following the major CJP protest at Jantar Mantar and the recent building collapse in Satya Niketan; consequently, issues regarding the education and safety of the youth are expected to be paramount for students as they head to the polls. The university administration has intensified preparations regarding security and voting arrangements. Special emphasis is being placed on enhancing security in colleges, verifying identities, and managing crowds at polling stations for the voting on September 18. The DU administration has instructed colleges to ensure compliance with the prescribed rules throughout the election process. Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh has emphasized the need to conduct the elections in a peaceful, transparent, and orderly manner.
