Gehlot says: Don’t give tickets even if I recommend someone; allocate over 50% of tickets to Gen Z.
Ahead of the upcoming local body elections in Rajasthan, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has proposed a major ‘Gen Z formula’ to the Congress party. He has demanded that more than 50 percent of the tickets for these elections be allocated to Gen Z and young candidates. Gehlot also opposed the practice of recommendations and lobbying in ticket distribution, asserting that candidate selection should be based solely on merit and grassroots feedback. Meanwhile, the BJP has hit back at Gehlot’s statement, raising questions regarding him and his son.
