In the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, a young man attacked a 10th-grade student at a government school using a power chainsaw. The incident took place in the Raptadu mandal of the district. The student sustained severe injuries to her face, head, and back. Another student, who attempted to intervene and stop the attack, was also injured. Upon witnessing the incident, other students and teachers present at the scene immediately alerted the police. The injured student—who had rushed to protect her classmate from the assailant—has been taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
