INDIA bloc marches on the streets; PIL filed in the Supreme Court

On Monday, leaders of the INDIA bloc held a march to the Supreme Court in the national capital, Delhi; Rahul Gandhi and various other leaders of the alliance were seen walking towards the court. Significantly, a petition filed by 11 opposition leaders—including Rahul Gandhi—has been formally registered by the Supreme Court. While Rahul Gandhi is the lead petitioner, the names of 10 other leaders are also included in the plea. This development followed the rejection of the INDIA bloc MPs’ request for a meeting by Justice Surya Kant, prompting the alliance’s leaders to stage the march.
