Major MCD Drive in Mayur Vihar Phase-3: Encroachments Removed from Roads

Delhi: The MCD has carried out a major drive against encroachment in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar Phase-3. The civic body launched this operation following complaints about persistent traffic jams and the rise of illegal roadside encroachments in the area. Roadside street-vendor stalls and other encroachments were removed. Upon getting wind of the impending action, many shopkeepers began packing up their goods on their own. Local residents now hope for relief from the daily traffic congestion.
