Major Protest by Female Students in Mandla; Serious Allegations of Harassment Against Hostel Warden

Mandla, Madhya Pradesh: The anger of female students against the poor conditions at their hostel and the alleged mistreatment by the warden spilled onto the streets in Mandla. More than 500 students from the Government Girls’ Education Complex (Shaskiya Kanya Shiksha Parisar) in Chatuamar walked approximately 8 kilometers to reach the Collectorate, where they staged a strong protest. The students have leveled serious accusations against the warden—including mental harassment and the use of casteist slurs—and are demanding her immediate removal. Meanwhile, the warden has denied all the allegations, dismissing them as a conspiracy.
