Major Reshuffle in UP Congress: Aradhana Mishra Takes Over from Ajay Rai; Party Vows to Form Government in 2027
A major organizational reshuffle has taken place within the UP Congress ahead of the elections. The party high command has removed Ajay Rai from the post of state president and handed over the reins of the UP Congress to Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’, the MLA from Rampur Khas and leader of the Congress Legislature Party. Meanwhile, Saharanpur MP Imran Masood has been appointed as the working president. Ajay Rai appeared emotional after stepping down from the presidency; he stated that he would stand by Rahul Gandhi until his last breath and would abide by the party high command’s directives with full dedication. He also expressed confidence that the Congress would form the government in UP in 2027.
