Crime incidents in Bihar show no signs of abating. The latest case comes from Patna, where Anil Yadav—husband of Ward 24 Councilor Gyanvati Devi (under the Buddha Colony police station area)—was shot. Anil Yadav is himself a former councilor of Ward 24. The attack took place at his home; while he was sitting in the basement of his apartment complex, three motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire on him. According to the police, he sustained four bullet wounds. He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital, and the police are examining CCTV footage from the scene.
