Massive Fire at Hapur Chemical Factory; Plumes of Smoke Visible for Kilometers

Hapur, Uttar Pradesh: Panic ensued following a massive fire at the Triveni Chemical Factory, located in the UPSIDC industrial area of ​​Dhaulana, Hapur. The blaze was so intense that plumes of black smoke could be seen from several kilometers away; more than 11 fire tenders from Hapur, Noida, and Ghaziabad were deployed to bring the fire under control. The incident has raised serious questions regarding safety standards and administrative oversight of chemical factories in industrial zones.
