Muslim Clerics Urge Muslims to Stay Away from CJP Protest
An appeal from Muslim clerics has emerged ahead of the protest against the Election Commission, proposed by the CJP at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on October 10. Muslim scholars, including Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi—National President of the All India Muslim Jamaat—have advised Muslim youth to stay away from the protest. Citing violence that occurred during previous protests, the clerics have urged the youth to exercise caution. Meanwhile, the clerics state that political parties exploit Muslims for their own gain.
