Police questioned MLA Humayun Kabir for over four hours; what did he say after stepping out?

Humayun Kabir, MLA and chief of the Aam Janata Unnayan Party, underwent questioning for approximately four hours. He appeared at the Berhampore police station in West Bengal on September 21, 2026, in connection with a viral audio case involving an alleged conspiracy to incite communal tension. Kabir remained at the station from 11 AM until late evening, undergoing prolonged questioning. He is scheduled to appear before the police at the Berhampore station again on September 23. These proceedings stem from allegations regarding an audio clip concerning the hoisting of a BJP flag on a Babri Masjid structure under construction in Murshidabad and charges of inciting communal tension.
