The agitation by aspiring candidates in Prayagraj—demanding that the TGT-PGT recruitment be conducted under the old rules—continued for the 18th consecutive day on Tuesday; however, a statement from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath brought a sense of relief to the protesting candidates. Speaking at an event in Lucknow, CM Yogi mentioned that he had instructed the Minister of Secondary Education to write to the NCTE. He also advised those protesting in Prayagraj to relax a bit and focus on preparing for the competitive examination. Despite CM Yogi’s statement, the students staging the sit-in in Prayagraj have declared their intention to continue the protest and have explained the reasons behind their agitation.
