Amidst this march, the Kerala Congress took to social media to demand the resignation of Chief Justice Surya Kant. However, the Supreme Court Bar Association soon condemned the demand for the CJI’s resignation, stating, “Such comments belittle the judiciary; while every individual has the right to approach the court and seek legal remedies in accordance with the law, such statements undermine the institution of the judiciary and amount to an attempt to interfere with the administration of justice.”
