Uproar over FCRA Amendment Bill continues; BJP hits back at the Opposition
The uproar surrounding the FCRA Amendment Bill persists. The Opposition has begun preparing to protest against the Central Government’s proposed FCRA Amendment Bill, 2026. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the Opposition would decide on a course of action to block the bill during a meeting of floor leaders on Monday. Meanwhile, the BJP has also issued statements regarding the matter. BJP spokesperson RP Singh said, “Is the Congress opposing the FCRA Bill because it wants to alter the country’s demography? The Congress wants religious conversions to take place in our country, and that is why they are opposing it.” RP Singh further alleged that the Congress, in collusion with foreign forces, intends to change the nation’s demographics and engage in politics over the issue.
