Delhi: During the Lok Sabha debate on the anti-paper leak bill, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi made sharp remarks regarding the new Education Minister, Pralhad Joshi, sparking a massive uproar in the House. Priyanka alleged that the Prime Minister had appointed a person as Education Minister who had expressed consent and happiness over the release of the rapists of a pregnant woman. The ruling party raised strong objections to this statement and demanded evidence, prompting Priyanka to assure the Speaker that she would provide proof. The controversy subsequently spilled over outside Parliament as well, with Rahul Gandhi issuing a statement in support of his sister, Priyanka Gandhi.
