Amidst global conflict, India emerges as an ‘economic superpower’ with 7.8% GDP growth.

India is making its mark on the global stage—and this is not mere rhetoric; it is backed by hard data. Despite rising inflation driven by ongoing tensions in West Asia, India’s economy is proving stronger than the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) projections. GDP growth stood at 7.8% in the first quarter of the year (April–June), surpassing the RBI’s estimate of 7%. For context, the growth rate was 6.9% in the same quarter last year. The Central Government’s statistics department released these figures on Monday. Following the announcement, Prime Minister Modi took to social media, stating, “Despite global crises and rising oil prices, India has achieved a GDP growth of 7.8% in the first quarter of this year. This is a testament to the strength of the nation’s people. Those who predicted a slowdown have been proven wrong, and India has once again achieved remarkable success.” With GDP growth accelerating under PM Modi’s administration, it is only natural for BJP leaders to be elated; they are hailing this achievement as “Modi Magic.”
