AQI crosses 200, GRAP-1 implemented; polluting vehicles in Delhi now in the crosshairs!

With the AQI in Delhi surpassing 200, GRAP-1 (Graded Response Action Plan-1) has been implemented. Under these measures, the traffic police will take strict action against polluting vehicles. Enforcement will be intensified against vehicles lacking a valid PUC (Pollution Under Control) certificate, as well as older vehicles that violate regulations. Necessary arrangements will also be made to address traffic congestion in Delhi. The traffic police have urged the public to ensure their PUC certificates are valid and to opt for public transport whenever possible.
