Floods wreak havoc in Nepal; fresh alert issued for a massive disaster! Indian leaders express grief and hold China responsible.

The death toll from the devastating floods in Nepal’s Bhote Koshi River has risen to 469, while 977 people remain missing. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) released this information on Friday. The flooding is believed to have been triggered by an avalanche upstream on the international river that flows along the Nepal-China border. This has caused massive destruction in the low-lying areas along the banks of the Bhote Koshi River. The powerful floodwaters swept away numerous settlements, roads, hydroelectric projects, power transmission infrastructure, and other facilities.
