The Surat Cyber ​​Crime Cell has uncovered an alleged racket that defrauded women by promising weight loss and treatments for skin-related issues. According to the police, the accused would pose as doctors, contact women over the phone, and collect cash payments for “medicines.” Investigations have revealed transactions exceeding ₹22 crore through two bank accounts and the payment gateway Razorpay. Five individuals have been arrested, and an investigation into the entire network is currently underway.
