Iran Strikes Strait of Hormuz Again, Targeting Three Oil Tankers
The entire world is currently watching the situation regarding a potential Iran-US conflict. While Trump has claimed that Iran has agreed not to pursue nuclear weapons and to avert war, Iran has simultaneously launched a major attack in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have claimed responsibility for attacking three vessels passing through the Strait; these ships had reportedly ignored Iranian warnings. Iran has taken this step at a time when tensions in the region are already high. Iran has sent a clear message that vessels belonging to any country or company utilizing its seized assets will not be permitted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
