India defeated the West Indies by 8 wickets in the second ODI. Chasing a massive target of 406, Shubman Gill played a record-breaking innings of 223 runs, swinging the match decisively in India’s favor. The second match of the ODI series between India and the West Indies was played today in Guwahati, Assam. Indian captain Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to bowl first. The West Indies team batted brilliantly, posting a colossal score of 405 runs in 50 overs, powered by magnificent centuries from John Campbell and captain Shai Hope. Seeing the score, it initially seemed like a daunting run chase lay ahead, but India was poised to make history. Indian batsmen were ready to set a series of records.
