Thousands of students protest in Patna, demanding cancellation of 70th BPSC and Sub-Inspector recruitment exams
On Tuesday, thousands of aspirants once again took to the streets in Patna to protest against recruitment examinations. Police attempted to stop the protesting students—who were marching from Gandhi Maidan towards the Chief Minister’s residence—by erecting barricades at JP Golambar, leading to a heated scuffle and altercation between the students and the police. The protesters are demanding the cancellation of the 70th BPSC examination and the recruitment exam for 1,799 Sub-Inspector posts. Additionally, they are calling for the early conduct of pending BSSC examinations, transparency in the recruitment process, and a judicial commission inquiry into alleged irregularities.
