Torrential floods originating from Tibet have caused massive devastation; the battle to save lives continues in Nepal.

Devastating floods along the Nepal-Tibet border have wreaked havoc across several areas of Nepal. Hundreds of people have lost their lives following floods and landslides in regions including Rasuwa, while a large number remain missing. The Nepal Army and rescue teams are conducting rescue operations on a war footing. Efforts are underway to evacuate stranded individuals via helicopter. Damage to numerous roads and bridges is posing significant challenges to relief and rescue operations.
