Government Plans to Connect with Gen Z; Opposition Counters: Resolve Disputes Through Dialogue

Desk: The central government is preparing to launch the ‘One Day, One University’ initiative to engage directly with Gen Z. Under this program, a Union Minister will visit a university each day to hold face-to-face interactions with students. The initiative aims to listen to the youth’s views and concerns regarding issues such as employment, education, skills, paper leaks, fees, placements, scholarships, and AI, while also providing information about government schemes. While the government describes this as a direct dialogue with the youth, the opposition views it as an attempt to establish a political connection alongside Gen Z outreach.
